About Ozyegin University

The university was founded by the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, and its establishment was approved by the Establishment Law No. 5656, published in Official Gazette No. 26526 on May 18, 2007.

Ozyegin University accepted its first batch of students in the Department of Business Administration and started its education in September 2008.

According to Bloomberg Business Week’s “Most Popular Universities” survey in 2014, Ozyegin was ranked third among foundation universities, after Sabancı and Koç Universities, respectively. Özyeğin University was also ranked 4th among all universities in the online survey conducted with 15.700 students from 89 universities between January and May 2014.

Ozyegin University ranked 6th among the most pioneering and innovative universities in Turkey and has risen in the ranking compared to 2013. The number of academics at Ozyegin University is more than 630 academics and more than 350 administrative employees, and the number of undergraduate students at the university is more than 7,000 students, of whom about 500 are international students. Ozyegin University has more than 165 agreements with more than 40 countries around the world in terms of cultural and scientific exchange agreements.Ozyegin University specializes in civil aviation and is contracting with Turkish Airlines, and it is one of the rare universities in Turkey that offers these specializations.
